Workshops and Retreats
Using reclining meditation and various relaxation methods we reduce unnecessary effort and deepen the mindfulness process. Over the sessions we will learn to step up and down the gears of relaxation, in a way tailored for you.
The aim is the ever increasing cultivation of mindfulness, relaxation and satisfaction. This workshop alternates with the Mindfulness Qigong workshop (3rd Saturday of the month), a 'high gear' Qigong for health recovery.
Mindfulness Qigong, based in Zhineng Qigong Non-diagnostic Health Training, involves a meditative training in active relaxation to reduce unnecessary mental and physical effort.
Over the sessions we will explore different Qigong exercises, including intensive Qigong and Qigong healing. Do Qigong and get a good workout at the same time! These methods were employed in the Zhineng Qigong 'Medicineless Hospital' by Grandmaster Dr. Pang Ming.
A good name for an approach that includes Reducing Unnecessary-Effort Training as a foundation could be ‘Effort Rehabilitation’. Effort rehabilitation retreats could be taken just as seriously as ‘drug rehabilitation’ for people incapacitated by stress. An effort rehabilitation retreat would try to include all the important elements where we can reduce unnecessary effort. We would work up the Gears of Relaxation. After a correct foundation in the lower gears we would use Qigong to explore the higher gears of relaxation.
Intensive Qigong for Health Recovery
Higher Gear Relaxation becomes a non-diagnostic health training - you can bring any health issue and get some kind of improvement; either palliative or in some cases a complete recovery. We will be using some Zhineng Qigong training methods employed at the 'Medicineless hospital' mentioned here. We will be establishing the foundation of health.
Mindfulness Relaxation Retreats
Elements of Reducing Unnecessary-Effort Training we might cover could be listed under the headings of the five orders of conditionality; these are the physical non-biological, the biological, the psychological, the ethical, and the transcendental.
